Finasteride is a drug that helps reduce hair loss in men. It works by lowering the hormone DHT, which is responsible for hair thinning and receding from the hairline.
Finasteride helps stop further hair loss and can help keep your hair fuller. In many men, it can even lead to visible improvements in hair density. You take one tablet every day, and after a few months you usually notice the first results. It is a simple and effective way to slow down hair loss.
You will receive a patient information leaflet with your order containing the full instructions for use. If you are in doubt about how to take the medication or about a side effect, please ask your question via your account. You will receive an answer from the pharmacy or the doctor who assessed your request.
Use the medicine only as prescribed by the doctor and do not stop on your own initiative without consulting.
Following approval by the doctor and dispatch by the pharmacy, your order usually arrives within one to two working days. The packaging is discreet: no logo and no indication of the contents on the outside. Only Wellumo will appear on your bank statement.
For safety reasons, medicines cannot be returned. If something is wrong with your order, please contact us within seven days and we will sort it out.

What you probably want to know
How soon will I see results?
Expect three to six months before you see a difference, and a year for the full effect. In the first weeks, you may actually lose a bit of extra hair: that is the old hair making way and a sign that it is working.
Will my hair grow back?
The treatment primarily stops the breakdown. In some men, hair also grows back, especially on the crown. In areas where the hair follicle has been dead for years, nothing more happens. That is why starting early is so crucial.
What happens if I stop?
Then hair loss resumes within six to twelve months from where you left off. It is a treatment you maintain, not a cure.
Are there any side effects?
A small number of users experience a reduced sex drive or erection problems. For most people this disappears again, and otherwise upon stopping. The doctor will discuss this with you and weigh up the pros and cons before you start.
