Wegovy Pil^®

Wegovy is used for weight loss and weight management, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Wegovy helps reduce your appetite, making it easier to make healthier food choices and eat less. By helping you feel full sooner, losing weight becomes more manageable and less challenging.

How do I take this medication?

1. Take the tablet on an empty stomach. It is recommended that you do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours beforehand.
2. Swallow the tablet whole with no more than 120 ml of water. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablet.
3. Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medications by mouth.

Important! Your doctor may adjust the dose escalation schedule. Do not increase the dose yourself or take multiple tablets to achieve a higher dose. A pack of 30 tablets does not determine when you should increase your dose. The usual initial treatment step lasts four weeks.

When should you not use this medication?
Do not use Wegovy if you are allergic to semaglutide or any of its other ingredients.

Do not use Wegovy during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are planning to become pregnant, discuss this with your doctor. You must stop taking Wegovy at least two months before a planned pregnancy.

How long should you take this medication?
If this medication works well for you, you can discuss with your doctor whether you can stop treatment once you have reached your target weight.

It is important to maintain healthy lifestyle habits to help keep the weight off and reduce the risk of regaining weight after stopping treatment.

Store the tablets in their original packaging, protected from light and moisture, and out of the reach of children. No special temperature storage conditions are required. Always check the expiry date.
